Billetter til konsert i Lillehammer kirke 29. september

Billetter

Startling review in Aftenposten!

6/20/2014

Norway's largest newspaper, Aftenposten, gives Tokso's Cor Amant 6 out of 6 stars in a startling review today. Here are some quotes:

A superb and incomparable string quartet

Tokso reflects equal portions of elegance, temperament, power and melancholy. The quartet is a chamber musical phenomenon originating in both traditional and classical music.

String Quartet Tokso is a glowing musical love project of four fantastic musicians. Four women from three different countries, hardanger fiddle player Anne Hytta and cellist Sigrun Eng from Norway, the Greek lyra player Kelly Thoma and French Eléonore Billy on nykkelharpe.

Together they create a unique and very distinctive flora of sounds. Cor Amant is wonderfully rich in seductive mood shifts from excitement, melancholy, hurried drive and drama to gentle and soft serenity. In the beautiful "Pillow" it is as if they are whispering their message, while Anne Hytta's "Rand" is like a small revelation, perceiving the morning light arrival over the mountain.

Peaceful and beautiful – these are musicians with finely tuned eye contact, riveting and sprawling interaction and passionate sensitivity for each other’s power and temperament.

Svein Andersen, Aftenposten 06.19.2014
